Metro Credit Union
Metro Credit Union engaged Omni as their exclusive Development Consultant to assist with the expansion of branches in the Greater Boston Area. In the mid-2000′s Metro went through a brand change for their branches. Combining Omni’s development skills and Maugel Architect’s design, Metro’s brand branch was defined and built throughout the Metrowest area. Omni drafted and executed an RFP for all technical service professionals including General Contractors engaged in these projects.
On each project Omni managed the construction process including but not limited to the financial review of project expenses, payment disbursement and construction inspections through the issuance of Certificate of Occupancy.
Tewksbury – 1527 Main Street
Metro chose the lot fronting on Route 38 of the Village Green project for the first new branch. Omni was well into the development of Village Green and this was an ideal location for the new Metro.
Framingham – 1124 Worcester Road
Metro wanted to have a branch in the busy Framingham area. Omni was able to secure the land that housed the abandoned Village Motel and the adjacent land containing an abandoned home with some historic relevance. Omni worked with the city during the demo delay period to attempt to secure a location and funds to move the home. The building was ultimately razed but Framingham complimented Omni on our efforts to save the building.
Lynn – 475 Western Ave
The Western Ave site in Lynn presented Omni with many challenges due to the exceptional amount of ledge at the site. Blasting and Engineering firms were brought together to address the issues. Omni worked with the city to secure permits for ledge removal activity and the balance of the development of the Lynn branch.
Boston – 1071 Mass Ave.
The Mass Ave Boston office houses the corporate offices of Metro Credit Union. The development of this location required Omni to work with the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) and the Inspectional Services Department (ISD). Omni engaged a team of architects and attorneys to obtain approvals including those from BRA and ISD.
